Harry A. Safarian

Prior to co-founding Safarian & Baroian, LLP, Mr. Safarian was a partner in one of California’s most prominent law firms. There, he earned a reputation as a tenacious, hardworking advocate. He has been named numerous times as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” an honor reserved for no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in the state.

Mr. Safarian is a seasoned trial attorney. His practice focuses on litigating serious personal injury, business and real estate disputes.

Mr. Safarian has served as trial counsel in some of the largest cases filed in California. He has handled hundreds of matters ranging from complex mass tort lawsuits to representing numerous “A-List” celebrities and professional athletes in high profile litigation cases. He has taken thousands of depositions, and successfully mediated and arbitrated dozens of cases in a wide variety of litigated matters. Most significantly, Mr. Safarian has extensive jury and bench trial experience. He has also prevailed in numerous appeals, including to the California Court of Appeal.

Mr. Safarian has handled dozens of wrongful death cases from both the plaintiff and defense side, including air crashes, motor vehicle collisions and industrial accidents. Some of the country’s most prominent lawyers have consulted Mr. Safarian for legal advice, and have retained him to defend multi-million dollar malpractice actions. Mr. Safarian has appeared on Celebrity Justice, various television news outlets, and has been quoted in numerous newspapers and magazines.

While committed to delivering exceptional representation to the firm’s clients, Mr. Safarian has also been an active member of the community. He has been invited to speak at local universities, and has given numerous lectures to lawyer groups on emerging areas of the law. He serves regularly as a Los Angeles Superior Court settlement officer. Additionally, he has served extensively as a temporary judge for the Los Angeles Superior Courts. Mr. Safarian has volunteered numerous times as an AYSO soccer coach, youth basketball coach, and has committed hundreds of hours to delivering pro bono local services to those in need. He is an active member of the Armenian Bar Association, the Southern California Defense Counsel and the Glendale Bar Association. Mr. Safarian is fluent in spoken Armenian and is conversant in Spanish.

Mr. Safarian earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from California State University, Northridge, in 1996 with high honors. Upon admission into Loyola Law School, he co-founded the Corporate and Business Law Association, and earned Deans List Honors. He was awarded American Jurisprudence and First Honors Awards for exceptional academic achievement. While enrolled at Loyola, Mr. Safarian also served on the school’s prestigious International Law Journal, and as a Judicial Extern to Hon. Geraldine Mund, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California.
